PE & Sport

Cromwell High School has led the way in setting up the Greater Manchester Special School Sports League and our teams have played in schools across the area- including pupils with Profound Learning Difficulties playing other schools at Boccia (a game similar to Bowls). Our school has very strong links with Tameside Sports Development. Details of their out of school disability programme can be found by clicking here and searching through the 'Timetable' tab then the 'Activity' drop down for 'Disability'.

We have the advantage of being able to use the facilities of Rayner Stephens High School (formerly Astley Sports College) including an astroturf pitch and their Sports Hall. RS Sports Leader pupils also regularly support our pupils with their PE and games and we have had training from Manchester United and Manchester City Football Clubs through our links with RS.
