Sensory Toleration

The life chances of pupils with more profound and multiple learning difficulties are often determined by how comfortable they are in different environments. In order to maximise the quality of life for our pupils both in school and in the wider world both in the present and the future we teach pupils to tolerate and then enjoy as wide a variety of contexts and environments- both social and physical- as possible.

Pupils in the sensory department work with pupils from other departments and with volunteer students from Rayner Stephens High School to teach them to benefit from social interactions with peers.
