Preparation for the wider world, both for the present and as pupils grow into young adults, is one of our main principles. This begins, step by step, as soon as a pupil comes to our school but really takes off when pupils move into Key Stage 4.
Within Key Stage 4 we maximise pupils' time visiting out of school including visits to the training providers delivering our "Enrichment Curriculum" provision with local training providers. Supported by their usual Teaching Assistants and fully quality assured by school, pupils learn to work with unfamiliar adults in unfamilar surroundings to vocational aims. It is a highly effective stimuli for personal growth and maturation and a thorough preparation for college after school.
