All pupils study music- with music specialists from the fantastic Tameside Music Service- and creative arts.
They learning about Dance- including wheelchair dance- through PE and Drama in English. In Key Stage 4 pupils are given the option, term by term, as to which art form they would like to learn more about; Creative Arts, Music, Dance or Drama. Our school has performed at Shakespeare for Schools festivals at major Manchester Theatres- including pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties if they enjoy the sensory stimulation of the performance.
Above all arts is about developing expressive control over the sensory world around us and is therefore an ideal subject for our department.
